I was given the number of 4, so here are 4 random things you may not know about me. 1. I love comic strips. I usually prefer to read them in marathons by buying bound collections, and it makes me sad that the failure of so many newspapers has left syndicates without the resources to publish those collections. I can read many of them online, and support some of the artists with paid subscriptions...but its not the same. For some reason strips on a computer or smart phone screen are not as satisfactory as words on an e-reader. 2. I was raised atheist, and sent to Lutheran school from the 5th - 8th grades. The Lutheran confirmation classes were part of the curriculum, so I completed the training, but opted not to be confirmed. (Still atheist,in case you didnt know.) 3. Im monolingual. Studied Japanese some for 3 years, but very little of it stuck with me. Ive been considering tackling the kanji again, because I could probably get a lot from untranslated documents at work. 4. This summer was the first time I bought clothing for myself from the Misses section. I was about this size the last 2 years of high school, but in the late 80s this size was considered Plus. If youd like to play along, like this status and Ill generate a number of things for you to share. (But liking this status is not an endorsement of atheism, monolingualism, or size inflation...)
