I was given the opportunity to sing at a funeral today. I know it sounds strange, but I absolutely LOVE to sing at funerals. First, they are a poignant reminder of our own mortality and the fact that we need to make every moment count. You dont get the luxury of knowing when that moment might be your last. To quote a wonderful lady-Pastor Jackie-Every one of us has a reservation at a cemetery somewhere, with no privileges of cancellation.... Second, I get the chance to offer some small source of comfort in my own way.
