I was going to comment on this the other day, but have been busy. This makes me so stinking mad I can hardly stand it! 75 MILLION dollars for a suicide barrier on the Golden Gate Bridge! Why? Because in 7 years, 12 people have jumped to their death. Now, I have compassion for those families of the sick people who thought suicide was the solution to their problems. But Why should the rest of us pay for this, and what makes this worth $75 MILLION bucks? It is not the citizens problem! This is exactly why government shouldnt recieve the tax money it already does. Its why were broke, its why our bonds are worthless. Its why China owns most of our debt. It is the very root of the problem, government interference with private lives.
