I was going to make a speech tomorrow, but since a lot of folks - TopicsExpress

I was going to make a speech tomorrow, but since a lot of folks involved wont be there I will just post it on here. First and foremost, I want to say Thank You to everyone that has been there for me personally throughout the past month. As she was to many of you, Jennifer was one of my best friends. Losing her was the hardest thing i have had to deal with in my 30 years on Earth. To honor her, a committee was formed to raise money to help with her medical expenses, as well as to raise awareness for the illness that took her from us. I know I have more or less been looked at as the spokesman for this group, but believe me this was not a one man show. I had the best team you could ask for. I had a facility that was so gracious to us in letting us hold a function free of charge. I had countless volunteers who gave their time and effort to this cause. Lastly, I had each and every person that supported our cause - not just financially. The kind words, the Jenn stories, the promoting, the prayers. They all contributed to this most perfect day. The only thing missing was Jenn herself, though we all know she was making her rounds throughout the bowling alley today in one way or another. I want to recognize some people that did some great things for this all to happen. First, Elaine and Wayne Webb. Thank you for allowing us to have this event in your center. Jody Boyd. Thank you for promoting the sweeper and bringing in what amounted to 71 entries on such short notice. Melissa Shy and Lynda Frost. You guys rocked those brackets and Jackpots. Rashawna Collins, Kevin Snyder, and Melissa Shy. You guys took an unfamiliar lane transition and made ot look easy with your scorekeeping. Natalie Shuler Donahue, my partner in crime at the Sweeper registration table. You were awesome. Ashley and Hilary, you guys did a great job at the registration table. I had compliments about how professional you made everything. Marcie Thompson Hamilton and Elisabeth Hope, you guys had a TON of merchandise to work with, and you completely nailed it. Great job. Brandon Jones, my old buddy. You did a fantastic job with the Website, the Silent Auction, the Facebook page, and the flyers. Tanya and Britney, you did an AMAZING job walking up and down the center selling tickets. Rita and John, great work on security, and making sure there were no issues. Debbie, you did a great job with the Beer Pong and Corn Hole tournaments. Amanda Hansel, thank you so much for all your hard work woth involving the media and taking pictures. I also want to thank the staff of Wayne Webbs Columbus Bowl for all their hard work. We definitely couldnt have done it without you. There are too many individuals to mention that have donated money, so I will just give a big THANK YOU to all of you. You know who you are. I know I am probably leaving some people out and I am sorry. Please know that everything everyone has done has been noticed and is very much appreciated. #ThankYou #BestCommunityEver #WeLoveYouJenn
