I was hoping for a picture today but none so far. Lauren had a great round today. She played the first nine holes then during the 10th they stopped play for a big thunder storm for over three hours. So Lauren calls me and says she is doing good. She was at even par after shooting par on every hole of the first 9 holes! After play resumed she had a couple of more pars then one bogey and on the 18th hole she sunk a 40ft putt for birdie to end the round with an even par 72!! She was tied for the low round of the day! The leader shot a 73 so Lauren gained one stroke on the leader and the 2nd place girl also shot a 73 so Lauren is now tied for 2nd place and four strokes off of the leader! The girl that tied her for the low round is one stroke back at 4th place. The next girl is four strokes behind Lauren so she is in good shape tomorrow. She is in a good place to finish in 2nd or 3rd and she is in range to win the event! She will have to shoot a good round tomorrow or she could easily end up in 4th place. I will be a nervous wreck tomorrow but she will be fine. She is in good spirits. She loves playing tournaments and she is getting more and more confident as she gains more experience playing against these really good players. So she is again in the final group with a 9:00 tee time tomorrow. She is having a blast down there. It is difficult for Kristen and I to not be there watching and seeing her playing so well.
