I was in Hubli for two years, working in the zonal Office of our Bank. My postings to Hubli gave me an oppertunity to mingle with the people of Hubli and Dharwad. I had travelled in and around Hubli and Dharwad on official duty and came across sevaeral people. Their warmth, culture, friedly attitude, and above all their simplicity have carried me over. I had written a short poem on my experience with those generous people, which i have reformed today . The poem is here -- ಧಾರವಾಡದ ಮ೦ದಿ. ಧಾರವಾಡದ ಮ೦ದಿ ವೈಶಾಖದ ತ೦ಪು ಮಳಿ ಹಾ೦ಗ ಶ್ರಾವಣದ ತು೦ಬು ಹೊಳಿ ಹಾ೦ಗ ಪ೦ಚಮಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ತರೇವಾರಿ ಉ೦ಡಿ ಹಾ೦ಗ ಬೇ೦ದ್ರೆ, ಕಣವಿ ಕವಿತಾಧ೦ಗ. ನಿ೦ತು ಬಿಟ್ಟಾರ ನೋಡ್ರೀ ಸರ್ರ ನನ್ನೊಳಗ ಸಿಹಿ ಫೇಡಾಧ೦ಗ! ೦೦೦ -- ಮೇಗರವಳ್ಳಿ ರಮೇಶ್.
