I was in the car alone with a broken CD player and and no cassette deck. Fall nights were always best for drives with windows down and anything I could find on the radio. WRAS was airing its Monday evening Georgia music show and announced Balkans next in the rotation. I cant compete, murmured the monotone volunteer DJ. I didn’t know if that was the song title or a personal statement. The guitar started and quickly was accompanied by the band. The volume wasnt loud enough so I turned it up before the vocals fell in. The bass had a broken up riff that complimented the guitar and drums beautifully. The sound was right up my alley. Every part and change within the song had me wanting more and more. I got home and downloaded the record immediately. This album has the most plays on my iTunes. A big Thank You to Balkans for crafting this fantastic record. - Clinton
