I was in the navy when it wasnt popular, and I attended a service academy, which really wasnt cool. But I wouldnt trade the experience or life long lessons. Today its not the same for sure. Its voluntary, and those who choose to be leaders and attend the service academys do so knowing that its a tough world, fights are the norm and harms way looms for sure. Thus I would like recognize two young neighbors, John Locke, US COAST GUARD ACADEMY, and Kyle Hanover, US MILITARY ACADEMY.
