I was invited to watch this movie (thanks Dorian Devins), and the team-up of Paul Newman and Sidney Poitier is as powerful a duo as you can have in a movie. However, Dorian and I are extending our services to any movie producers that want to make a (current) movie more realistic. All you have to do is send us a copy, pay us a grand apiece, and well tell you what in is over the top, unrealistic, or just sucks. (And we promise not to distribute, lend, or in any way profit from the movie.) In the first few minutes of the movie I am impressed with the coaching that Paul and Sidney (check him out 13 sec into movie) had to portray themselves as musicians, really fine acting! ----- Re: the scenes in the movie (within one minute of the film!) we would have spotted right away, for instance: 1) 20 sec in / The white guy snapping on 1 and 3, well . . . thats realistic, but too embarrassing to my race to keep in. (Offensive.) 2) 22 sec in / They could have synced the lady singer w/the music a little better. (Come on sound guys!) 3) 34 sec in / The chicks head is bobbing so much its gonna snap like a pez dispenser . . . and shes got what we used to call in Boston, the white mans overbite while listening to jazz. (Wrong race.) 4) 37 sec in / Whats up with the Groucho Marx eyebrows and wig! (Only Groucho and Hitler could pull off a mustache like that.) ----- OK, gotta get back to the movie, Im diggin it!
