I was just asked why I think Diane Brennan is good for Nanaimo. Good question (name deleted as I have no permission to share it) - why is Diane Brennan good for Nanaimo. As I am no longer a member of the Nanaimo Politics Group, if you want the world to see my answer, you will have to share it - your call. first-Diane like so many others simply steps up and takes a turn. That alone warrants respect in my book. 2nd she has a background in anti poverty legal aid social work. That is a big complex issue- no one better to guide city policy on this. 3rd and perhaps most important - she knows the rules, better than anyone in recent memory she knows what you can and cant do in a meeting. Any game needs to be played fair and the rules exist to prevent bullies. So thats 3 good reasons to respect & admire Diane Brennan. I could go on. How much do you want? Does it matter? If you are going to be wrong, rude & insensitive why should I even bother?
