I was just eating at lavalette mcdonalds, I ordered a dbl cheeseburger and an Oreo mcflurry. Some people were standing around waiting in the lobby. I sat down and a few minutes later I received my order. Two older men behind me started to get aggravated seeing that I got my order first, mine being a smaller one, would probably make sense. They both stood up and puffed their chests out and walked up to the counter and waited like in a pack of people, ganging up like an army getting ready to fight. The employee at the front counter politely told them they were getting everything out as fast as possible. The man was angry at the employee and he yelled and told him to not give him that look and that they all should get it together I was upset, so I said something I looked at the guy that huffed and puffed away and I said I feel sorry for that guy talking about the employee he had just degraded in front of everyone. When their was clearly nothing this guy could do to speed the process up. I then proceeded to say to the mans friend how I felt about the situation he just kind of looked blankly at me. He had a look in his eye like he knew that it was wrong and he slightly looked as if he agreed with me, but no his friend said that guy gave me a look NO that is not true, you came up there trying to flex your muscles, and this idea of so the world should be crediting for my existance daily. He was the one who was mad and trying to argue. They both stated of course I got my food before them ( what Does that even mean?? I guess it is because Im a young female?) which is ignorant all in itself. I told them both I would never treat someone that way over food, or money. That guy behind that counter isnt getting paid enough to deal with your ignorance. He doesnt owe you anything. I hope everyone takes this a moment to stand up for other people throughout your day, we become so conditioned to these things throughout our lives we become absolutely and totally unadjusted to the fact that we need to not treat each other these ways. Ill remember not to go in there on a Sunday after church has been let out ever again. No offense to my Christian friends, but there is not reason to act one way in church and repent so on an so forth, and then that is the way you act.
