I was just watching the news about all of the threats being made by ISIS. Why does our government not inform us as a society of emergency planning before an attack actually occurs. We should all know what to do in case of different situations. I realize we dont want them to know how we will react strategically, so I am not talking about that kind of information. I am talking about being informed on basic life saving techniques and protective or preventative gear for each of us to have available at home to attempt to protect our own families. Emergency personnel are trained and retrained on these issues all of the time. It just makes sense for them to educate us as a society on certain steps to take if specific attacks occur. Protective suits should be made available in every home. I mean we have smoke alarms why couldnt we have chemical weapon alarms as well. I dont know it just seems as though the only people that really have the information needed for such an issue is local, state, and federal people, and they arent any better than the rest of us. I think that if we were at least offered the information we would be able to avoid a lot of panic and chaos if and when something did occur. Larcy Hewitt just another concerned U.S citizen
