I was looking at the picture I posted earlier of the old American Patriot Institute, which included me, Gordon, Richard, Deborah, Jeremy and my brother, George. The Soldier in the lower right hand corner was Joe Spado, or Spadoman, as we all came to know him. Joe left this world on December 2, 2013. As I mentioned before, Joe was a gentle soul and I was thinking of all I had learned from him, so I went to visit his Round Circle. Theres a lot of good stuff there, including the story of a life well lived. Joe wore his heart on his sleeve and shared with us his hard times as well as his good. The day his oldest daughter, Maggie, died. How his best friend died in his arms in Vietnam. The day he sold the last of his motorcycles and gave up riding. I never got to meet Joe in real life. Deborah did. Maybe she can add something to this. Anyway, while there I came across the link to this video and I offer it up to you as a partial tribute to a good man, who always fought for the down trodden and disadvantaged. We miss you, Joe.
