I was nominated by Danae Windsor to take part in the ALS ice bucket challenge. I will not dump ice water on my head as I am just getting over a bad cold, but I am happily donating money to MDA. ALS is a form of MDA, as is Duchenne, the disease my brother had. This weekend is the annual MDA telethon (begins tonight), so I will donate when the telethon begins. My goal was always to give an annual donation to MDA once I was financially stable. Though I am not completely there yet, I feel this is the best opportunity to begin my annual donations after being challenged and also considering yesterday was the 15th anniversary my brothers passing (has it really been that long?!) My challenge to all of yall is to not just dump water on yourselves unless you do it in conjunction with a donation. The goal is to fund research to find a cure so that no one will have to deal with muscle disease of any form any longer. I apologize if this seems preachy...its not my intention. As for who to challenge next, I choose all of my friends on my friends list. Even if you just donate $5, youll be helping an incredible cause. The telethon begins tonight.
