I was nominated by Dickie Leathem to list 10 books that have had a lasting impact on my life. 1. The War Within / Bush At War /State Of Denial by Bob Woodward (My favourite journalist on earth.. next to Stephen Russell) 2. 1984 by George Orwell (masterful) 3. Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams (Flat out the funniest book ever written) 4. And The Band Played On by Randy Schilts (The most essential reading for everyone about the outbreak of HIV/AIDS) 5. Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen (thank you Melissa Bellis, I adore this book and devour it frequently) 6. The Lord Of The Rings (all of them) by J.R.R. Tolkien (The world is divided into 2 kinds of people - those that have read LOTR and idiots) 7. The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky (Totally disarmed by and adore this book) 8. American Tabloid by James Ellroy (No-one writes as deliciously as Ellroy) 9. We Need To Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver (Emotionally shattered after reading this) 10. The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime by Mark Haddon I nominate - Stephen Alexander Russell, Melissa Bellis, Sarah Lorens, Justin Rowlands, Antoun Issa, Nicholas Hudson-Ellis
