I was nominated twice. And I held out as long as possible. Because I wanted to fully grasp and understand what I was standing for before I made an ass out of myself. I wanted to donate instead and fought myself at how to pull off $100 to do it. I discussed ALS with my kids. I researched, I learned, I taught. I didnt procrastinate. I took advantage of the whole point of the challenge. To bring awareness. To myself and to those around me. Did we have some fun doing this? Of course. Lake Michigan was FREEZING today. I had an whole extra bag of ice. I got my kids to participate. I nominate NO ONE. However, I challenge everyone to honest to God look up and research ALS- not from an ice bucket point of view, but from its very core, when it was discovered, and the current research.
