I was not going to get into the discussion about the movie Noah - TopicsExpress

I was not going to get into the discussion about the movie Noah but after just seeing an interview with the director I feel that I should. We saw the movie last night and I liked it. It is true that it has a lot of Biblical mistakes in the telling of what happened. However here is what it did do correctly: God is the creator (read that it never calls God God but I do believe I heard God used a time or two), God wants to save His creations, life is good and from God, the devil tells us because we were created in Gods image we should get to be as God and God saw Noah as more righteous than Noah saw himself. What was said in the interview that led me to write this is that the director thought growing up he would not be good enough to get on the boat. This is what we as Christians do, we lead people to think to get on the boat it must be through our own righteousness. Our righteousness is as filthy rags. We are only saved by accepting Christ. The director said he wanted the movie to be about Noah and his struggles. It is about Noah and his issues with trying to do right and his confusion. If you go see the movie do NOT leave until it is over or you will hate it:) Again there are several things that are not as they are in the real story of the real flood and the real man Noah as is recorded in the most precious book ever written, the Bible. So thankful God loved us enough to send the perfect sacrifice, Jesus who loved us while we were yet sinners. AFTER receiving salvation it is our responsibility to live as righteous of a life as we can with the help of Christ who strengthens us.
