I was on an excursion today at Wellington, Ohio and enroute we went past the remains of a bridge from the old Lorain, Ashland & Southern Railroad. I took a few pictures of the bridge pier, but what was interesting was there was a nesting goose on top of the pier. I dont think Ms. Goose thought this out very good because when her eggs hatch, her goslings will be unable to fly and here theyll be some 30-40 feet up in the air on top of this bridge pier. Not sure how this story is going to end. The Lorain, Ashland & Southern was abandoned in 1925. 4-19-2014.
