I was once in the studio with T Bone Burnett. He was producing a friends album. 2 things I recall: 1. I had just been to a Counting Crows concert and talked to him about how the singer sang almost every song different than on the albums and it bothered the heck out of me. I wanted to sing along but could not. He said that Adam hates when the audience sings along when he is singing on stage, so he changes each song live. 2. Jakob Dylan needed serious vocal training before he agreed to work with him and the Wallflowers. He sent him to school basically. I should write a book. Oh shit. Memories. Camille and I were driving near my old place on Beverly Glen years ago. We see a black convertible Boxster, top down, with music blasting out of it. Its Adam Duritz, singer of the Counting Crows. He is blasting a Counting Crows song and singing along, loudly. To this day, I say he was practicing for a show. Camille thinks he loves himself too much. Once, I hung out with Howard The Duck. I even crank called Leah Thompson and Tim Robbins. Same day.
