I was over an aquaintences house last month, nice family but many issues. I offered my assistence as mediator. I spoke for about half hour. The 16 year old daughter saw my presence as a green light to show her ass. Pissed off step dad very bad to the point he took a swing at the daughter. He threw a real punch at her, i saw it coming and i stepped in front and i took the full blow to my back. It was a good solid punch, lucky he missed the daughter cause it might have hit her around her neck. After taking the punch i turned slowly thinking he was going to start throwing a few more at me but he stopped and began apologizing. This is normal activity in the household. They all come to blows over stupid shit all the time. I finished my talk and left. Well i got a call yesterday from the family and they all thanked me for what i did. Since my visit there has not been one fist fight and only one short arguement. They all took turns telling me thanks, the things i said made so much sense and now they get along much better. Im so glad i was able to help, hope the peace is permenant.
