I was pleased to attend Carss Bush Park in my electorate this morning as young people involved in the Rehabilitation of Lower Georges River Project Green Army project commenced works on-the-ground to regenerate our bushlands. The Rehabilitation of the Lower Georges River Project will benefit the St George region through public land and waterway riparian zones within the Kogarah, Rockdale and Sutherland Local Government Areas. The Green Army is a key Government commitment to which the Coalition has committed $525 million over four years and reflects our commitment to the condition of our natural surrounds. I am looking forward to seeing first-hand the benefits and improvements which this project will bring – to both our local environment and the working experience of Barton’s young people over the next six months.
