I was privileged to be at Ferrucci Jr. High school in Puyallup this morning with a wonderful opportunity to teach a culinary class how to make the Dr. Terrys perfect pie crust, using boiling water and only a fork! This is so rewarding for me personally, to give young people exposure to some interests that could become life-long employment, or at least to give young people better choices for their lives in what they will do and how they will use their spare time! My helper wants to learn how to make the whole pie, and might get that opportunity this week in our mad dash to make 100 or more pies before Thanksgiving!
