I was pumping gas today when I saw a man with a sign. Said - TopicsExpress

I was pumping gas today when I saw a man with a sign. Said homeless and hungry. Looked really down on his luck. We had a conversation... I sat there and just let him talk. He has had a hard life. He was a veteran. A whole bunch of unfortunate events happen and this is where he is today. Through tears he told me his story. I hugged him tight, and took him to the grocery. Loaded him up with food and drinks. He could barely let go of me. Said I was the best thing that has happened in awhile, not just because I loaded him up with food and drinks, but because he got to vent. To release. He served our country and is now on the same streets for the country he served. I blessed him before I went home, and made sure to tell him his luck is going to change. He said he know it will because one person finally cared to understand, and not judge him. Please look at your fellow man without judgement. It could be you that wind up with a series of unfortunate events, and need a helping hand from a stranger. I told him he is loved and he is safe. Make every man feel loved and safe. Daily. If you see someone who just needs a smile... give it.
