I was reading the news paper yesterday. I love reading Robert Kirby’s tribune columns. Personally though, I don’t know how he keeps his LDS membership with some of the things he says about the church. He must have really good connections. Here is a piece of what he said: It wasnt my first time in lockup. Sonny is a retired corrections officer. Back when he was working, I visited him a number of times. Its where I learned how to behave in an environment full of convicted criminals. Ironically, the basic rules in prison are the same ones in church. 1. Submit to authority. 2. Keep my hands to myself. 3. Mind my own damn business. Here on Facebook, and as an active Mormon I can equally agree with those 3 rules (among many others of course). Submit to authority is a BIG piece of Mormonism. Submit or be cast out…” Why don’t they tell people about this before they become members? Oh yeah, becuase that would be honest. I get it now.
