I was reading up on the shingles virus. If you had the chicken pox - TopicsExpress

I was reading up on the shingles virus. If you had the chicken pox your immune to chickenpox for life but might get shingles when you get older because your immune system starts to get weaker because your lacking vitamins and minerals. But... If you only had the chickenpox vaccine you are only protected for about four years and can still get chickenpox during that time anyway and after four years your far game for the virus. To me your just better off letting your kid get chickenpox to make them stronger in the long run. Either way vaccine or not your contracting the shingle virus and may get it when you get older. At the age of sixty you should get the shingles vaccine to help prevent getting shingles though. When you get older and get shingles you could give chicken pox to anyone, even with a vaccine, but if they had chickenpox they wont get it again. Read up on it for yourself but that is what I found.
