I was recently asked about the Old City Jail Episode of Ghost Adventures (Season 5 Episode 10) in which my book SIx Miles to Charleston was featured in. Folks always ask me what it was like to work with those guys and the fact is that I didnt. I never got to meet them. What I do is behind the scenes and I correspond with the movers and shakers that make these type shows happen. I will, however tell you an interesting tale about that episode. As you Ghost Adventures fans know Zak Bagans is usually molested by almost every entity he comes into contact with. It is about as trademark as his hairstyle. When I was contacted by their Producer, Joe Taglieri, in 2011 one of the stipulations of using my book was that Bagans would not be molested by anything in connection with the book. They held to their end of the bargain. In a wee bit of irony the Old City Jail episode was filmed and Dakota Laden was invited by the crew to participate. He had won a fan contest in which he spoofed the show. Dakota did several additional spoofs of the hit show after that episode including one in which he was molested in a haunted house by a ghost that turned out to be male. In the video the ghost reveals itself to be male and also named...Bruce. So they kept their word in filming the episode but the payback for that was that my ghost later molested the proxy Zak Bagans (aka Dakota Laden). Caution crude humor:
