I was recently asked if I would be interested in participating in a benefit now that I am an Independent Designer for Origami Owl, I asked what the benefit was for and Sandra Esposito told me “Kids Cancer” my immediate response was “YES, I will and I will donate 20% of my commission to the cause”. So as I’m researching this I am amazed at the courage & fight these kids have in them. Did you know that 46 kids are told they have cancer each school day? This is unbelievable and with that said every amount donated to these foundations will eventually get these #’s down OR will help get the survivor #’s up. I have the privilege of helping an angel name Savannah Pauley who lost her battle to Ewing’s Sarcoma in 2009 just 10 years young. Here’s how this works, Sally Prendergast who is a friend of Savannah’s family is running in a half marathon on Mother’s Day May, 11th with the B+ Foundation in Wilmington at the Riverfront. Her goal is to reach $2,500 and she is currently at 56% of that.
