I was recently left wife-less with my 3 boys for 3 very long weeks (as my wife traveled abroad for the death of her father) and here are 5 things I learned from single-parenting boot camp: 1. Im insanely lucky to be married 2. Im insanely lucky I choose to be married to Duaa Alwan 3. Moms really do put up with insanely more crap than I ever imagined --and thats coming from a pretty involved dad/husband married to an an above average organized disciplined focused mom/wife 4. Despite being quite the chef myself, I had not remotely fathomed how insanely thankful I would be when family and friends cooked for us or invited us over for dinner 5. Everything we could not find in the house was actually NOT my wifes fault, rather the reason we survived was because of what we did find in every crevice of our home: her love. But for the Grace of God, Im insanely lucky to now be reunited and still be sane!
