I was reminded today its the absolutism in all three of the monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) that I so much object to. That absolutism divides the worlds people, causes them to fight each other and even kill each other. Can anyone accept that all three of the worlds great religions worship the same God? All three religions teach mercy, there is a lot good to live by in each religion. Then I see absolutism in religion divide at the local and family levels. I actually heard a Catholic priest say, Religion is dangerous, Bibles ought to be issued with a label like on cigarettes, may be be hazardous to health. But what he was referring to was the absolutism people tend to gather around in their interpretations of the Bible.
