I was respectfully asked to censor some of the bad language in my previous post, connected to my video, so I have respectfully done so and am re-posting for those who may have missed it. As a resident of Hull, I am very grateful to anyone who takes the time to watch, share, or offer feedback. This town, no matter what, is home right now. To anyone who clicks on this video, takes the time to sit & watch & listen and attempt to understand, I can not be more grateful for your time, your curiosity, or even your boredom. This was hard. I was minutes away from trashing this entire video. What stopped me, was that young girl who sat alone in the library and ate lunch all throughout elementary school because she didnt want people to wonder why no one was sitting with her at the regular lunch table. This is for the tall, lanky, bony thin, frizzy haired tomboy with zits, who wore flannels and was the only girl alto sax player in the school band who everyone assumed was gay. This is for the girl who used to have spit balls and paper airplanes thrown at her head while she read alone in the library after school, because she felt she was more understood by the characters in her favorite novels than she was by anyone else on the planet. Yes, I am talking to my younger self. This is for her, and this is for anyone else who can relate. Ignore all of them who made you feel unworthy, unlovable, and not good enough. This was hard to put out, but that memory messed with my mind, and the wiser, older me refused to today, allow that other girl to win or back down. Shes still in there, shes gone through a few incarnations and transformations, but the pain is still there, and the loneliness. So here you go. Again, to anyone who watches, thanks. Feedback I rarely get. I expect silence. Its usually the MO. I wish I got more than silence, especially when you show the world your guts - so if this resonates with you and you dont care what anyone else thinks of you too - leave me a note so I can appreciate you and the fact that you took the time. Doing this can be incredibly one sided and that can cause incredible uneasiness. A simple note or smile or hello lets me know that this connected to something with a pulse, and blood, and skin, and a heartbeat. Please, if you are brave, let me hear from you. Good or bad.
