I was saddened to hear on the radio today that actor Rik Mayall has sadly passed away. Hes part of my teenage years we used to watch shows like The Young Ones and other shows like Bottom I was never a fan of The New Statesman though my mother liked the show I personally couldnt be bothered with the show I found it boring. Rik Mayall also starred in films like The Comic Strip Presents which I think along with Ade Edmondson and French and Saunders was one of the first shows on Channel 4 when the channel launched in 1982. Americans may remember him as Phoebe Cates childhood imaginary friend in the movie Drop Dead Fred which was a really good film. Rik Mayall also starred in the Black Adder comedy series. My condolences to Rik Mayall friends and family he will be missed.
