I was scanning the news feed stream today when a news headline catches my attention, “Lawmaker Files Bill Officially Declaring Piolo Pascual as National Ultimate Heartthrob”. (SWN) So What’s the News is a News website new to me, so I clicked on the article and read. My first reaction was, I was inflamed and furious and annoyed, the hell this Lawmaker manage to pass a bill like this when the country is facing in a more serious problems? I was about to fill a bloody enraged comment at the comment box when I thought of reading the article again. The bill was officially filed by the Representative of 7th District of Bohol, but wait, Bohol only have 3 District. The representative name is “Wally Magwa Mabuti”, wally magwa mabuti? Is this some kind of a joke? From there I started to doubt and yes, if you look at the right side of the article you will notice a column in a dark background with the quote – “So, What’s News? is a SATIRICAL & FICTIONAL news website. Our aim is to inject humor into everyday news to provide respite to readers who have grown weary with mainstream news organization’s partisan, biased and depressing way of presenting the news.” Second later I found myself laughing in a controlled manner covering my face in a board divider of the office table hardly controlling my emotion coz boss might notice me and could be the end of my career if he sees me. I continuously scan the website and find the entire article really funny especially that Nokia Android 3ghz dual core processor with a memory storage of 64mb only and a Friendster integration! Booomm, hahaha.. Then I come to scan all the comments and there I see how some Filipinos are being likely to be a victim of deception and how easily we can fall on the hand of fraudulent. Those people who reads the article (Nokia 5110 Android Phone) and input their comments seems to have an overrated reaction of interest, of distress and agitation which means that they did not thoroughly examined and understand every details of the story of which I almost did the same. Most of us are being caught in the lure of the hook because we react so quick without analyzing, not reviewing the details and by not thinking first. Just sharing something Ive learned today. I think we have to learn to look at things and details meticulously, scrupulously before reacting and before believing into something without investigating. This way we can avoid doing stupid idiotic things and not be called as a reckless irresponsible person. SWN is really interesting and I suggest the page quite fun to read and, yes, refreshing our mind in the usual sick News of robbery, of Government corruption, of murders and rape of unrest and it’s just fun, at least for a moment. sowhatsnews.wordpress/2012/04/03/nokia-unveils-new-5110-touch-smartphone/
