I was scrolling threw FB and ran across a post that a friend commented on. It was a Video if some deer in a field. I was shocked to see the comment about how its sad that some people think that hunting is a sport and that it is not. Killing a defenseless animal is murder well I have to put my two cents in. Being a hunter and supporting all that hunt. this is how it is. I spend $100+ a year on my license alone plus who knows how much on gear. A portion of these purchases go to wildlife and fisheries or other organizations that support wildlife habitat. Along with supporting financially other organizations I belong to that also improve habitat and health of the animals I hunt. I dont see how killing an animal that I will eat would be considered murder? Where do you think the meat you buy in a store comes from? It is not made magically by mixing rainbow dust and water together in a room in back of the store! Cows,chicken,pigs,etc. are led to slaughter every day to provide food for everyone. And contrary to what some may believe they were not given a fighting chance! They were not in a gladiator style arena where only the looser ended up being possessed. They are led one by one down the line and shot in the head with an air hammer or had there neck twisted off! No gas chambers or injection where the just drift off to sleep. Also do you realize how much meat is wasted by just going bad on the store shelf? The only way my meat goes bad is if my freezer goes out. So think about that before you call what the hunting community dose is murder. Every thing I kill is food for me and my family. That is all rant over! Acts 10:13 arise, kill and eat.
