I was sitting in my car at the Credit Union in front of Meijers. An older (maybe 80s) gentleman. pulled into the spot next to me. He got out of his car, got his walker out of the trunk and then noticed me. He walked up to my car and tried to open my door. Scared the crap out of me. I rolled the window down and He said hi I need to tell you about the lady that got caught shop lifting. Mind you he is dead serious. He then says she went in front of the judge and the judge asked her what she stole. She told him a can of peaches. The judge asked how many peaches were in the can. She said 6. The judge said then your punishment will be 6 days in jail. One for each peach. Her husband jumped up and said, she stole a can of peas too. The gentleman laughed, said have a good day and left. And the truth is stranger than fiction.
