I was so happy when I saw this group & my chance to walk in your paths to experience the way of life & experiences from other aboriginal people of this land. I read & enjoy & sometimes disappointed in posts that makes me sad. We are our worst enemies & its our own people that are bringing us down. Sure we have history, but do we have to continue living in the past or do we move o n to live in the present. The more we resist the more heartache we endure. I acknowledge & speak about history all the time & how my elders endured pain, suffering, struggle to make our life easier. Theyve been dragged through the paths of destruction they didnt have a right ! we have rights & its up to us to fight for those rights as one & not against each other (even if it takes 10,000 more years - it will stop sometime) We have children, grandchildren & great grandchildren, do we want them to continue the pain that we all are carrying or do we make a change to make their lives better. My mob have a life to look forward to that includes their traditions & culture & they have the best of both worlds that they can adapt to that will be trying & testing. Sorry for talking, talking. Most probably get a few comments but Ill take it as it come & again, I love this site.
