I was so stunned that there was silence for a good 5 or 6 seconds. We were enjoying our evening meal (and since it has nothing to do with the story, I shall refrain from pointing out who had made the meal!), when, completely out of context, for we had not been engaged in conversation about this subject (I write this with absolute certainty, because we had never ever discussed the subject in the 23 years & 10,5 months of our marriage!). But, out of the blue, D Marianne Adams posed the question: Will they get rid of Ryan Giggs because Msnchester Unitrd lost again today?! I had been unaware that she knew who Ryan Giggs was, that MU had sacked their previous manager, and that Giggs had temporary charge of the team! I learn something new about this woman at least once a week!
