I was talking to a 79 year old lady who started testifying to me. For years she had cared for her husband in Illness and when he he died shes found herself without. He paid for his burial etc but left very little money because he didnt believe in leaving a lot of insurance. Which means in fact he left a devoted wife of over 55 years lacking. His military retirement ended the minute he died. She has retirement and social security but thats not half of what was previously coming in. Tears poured and her concern wasnt as much for herself as for her grown children who she had been helping for years. That made me mad because these are people in their fifties.... How in the world did this happen. I told her that perhaps it was time to take care of herself. Downsize her home, cut off those kids from her purse; who should actually be helping her and live out her life without those burdens. Im telling yall we are living in upside down times. Lord help us all.
