I was telling a patient last week about how I wasnt necessarily looking forward to my 30th birthday and he said something I really appreciated - Dont worry - your 30s will be great. Plus - you dont want to be a 20 year old physician. Your 20s are for figuring out and establishing who you are and what you want to do with your life...and youve already done that. Its time for you to be 30. It was a great weekend and getting messages from all my family and friends today definitely helped make this transition so much easier. Thank you all for reaching out to me today...I love every one of you. Now...its time to be 30.
