I was the victim of credit card fraud this past weekend. As usual I bought gas using my bank card as a credit card at the Enmark in Brevard on Friday. On Sunday I went to Ingles to buy groceries and my card was declined. Since I had just been paid on Thursday and that I had a considerable amount in my checking account I knew something was terribly wrong. I went home and checked my bank account online I saw where immediately after the gas transaction there was a large withdrawal from my checking account. I immediately called my bank and had the account closed. I do not know who took my money yet, and I am not saying Enmark had anything to do with it but I do want to warn all my friends on FB to be real careful. I understood that using a bank card was supposed to be safe as long as it was not used as a debit card at the gas pump. Obviously this is not correct.
