I was there too, and I remember so much in this message hitting me like a ton of bricks. I wasnt converted until years later, but this is one of those times as a lost young man, only messing about with religion at the time, when I remember the Lord so clearly and so weightily dealing with me. In a very real way this message was like stacking a cord of wood in my soul that, when the divine spark of regeneration fell, caused the realities John was holding out that day to catch fire. Would to God that my life will continue to be changed by treasuring Christ like this—above all else!—until I see Him face to face.
