I was thinking about King Didis top 5 goals, and then thought that a man of his stature deserved to be portrayed more in terms of the importance of his strikes...here are my top 6 (as I couldnt whittle it down to 5) excluding that pen...do you agree?...the extra-time winner in that ever so tight dual with the mancs that just kept on going in the first Cup final at the new Wembley - was such an occasion to be at, great day, we didnt want pens...that goal in the semi final of the Champions League at home to Liverpool that set us on course for our 1st ever European Cup final - the run across the defender, power of shot, the atmosphere that night - his effort had to be perfect and it was...that goal up at Old Trafford that placed us as front runners for the league in our double winning year - to go up there and play as we did typified the spirit and determination of that side, and I havent seen many shots hit that hard - even to leave a 9 foot Edwin Van der Saar on his knees...that scuff, by all accounts, at home to Barça in 2012 - but we have since learned of its importance...that superb diving header at home to Napoli the same year, that cut the tension, kick-started the hope, drive and urgency, and helped seal arguably our greatest ever comeback...and that header in the Allianz - the Roy of the Rovers/fairytale ending that typified that year, that run and that man - Mr Cup Final - the man who always made it count...great memories!
