I was thinking about the late Roger Zelazny the other day when I was watching an interview with his friend (and fellow Santa Fe, NM resident), George R.R. Martin, author of a Game of Thrones, etc. Roger Zelazny seemed to come out of nowhere in the late 60s-early 70s to sweep awards for best SF & Fantasy novels. His writing had been getting rejected for 20 years, so he found it amusing that people considered him an overnight success. One of his best works can be fit into either genre, Lord of Light, which was Zelaznys attempt at writing a Hindu and Buddhist-infused world. I never noticed this before now, but G.R.R.M. reused the names Lord of Light and Sam for his series. (Thanks, Wikipedia!) Anyway, the audiobook recently popped up on YouTube. Heres your chance to experience an unusual classic:
