I was thinking of participating actively in next years general election, but, I may probably go on my sleeping spree on day of the gubernatorial election, or sit at home and play game with whoever scrabble. Or better still, go the farm. That way, Ill be more useful to myself, my parents and the society at large. Choosing a candidate among the three major candidates would have been a case of choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea, but theyre three of them here. So, it should be choosing among the devil, the deep blue sea and a beautiful mermaid. The man from the south, I just dont like for anything at all. So, whatever he is, is already prejudiced. Im not voting for him. But, I think hes quite ahead of the rest having started his campaign since 2011. The man from the central, the GMB of our state, who has been contesting since whenever and losing. I like his faith anyway, at least, its bigger than a mustard seed. Im not voting for him either, because theres more to his political ambition than meets the eyes. I mean, whatever it is that has kept him going after losing in the field and the court must be far from the ordinary. The northerner, quite wealthy. Im yet to lay a finger on what inspired his political ambition. I mean, jumping out from the blues at this eleventh hour. Well, I wish him luck, but my vote? Hes not getting it. I started hearing about this man a long time ago, his wealth and all what not, but, Ive heard anybody say he or she was helped by him. And, hes said to be in labour, to deliver soon. Having said these, if youll anywhere in Abakaliki on the day of the election, Im inviting you over for an interesting scrabble game and a sumptuous meal. Are you in?
