I was thinking on the ride home yesterday from Buffalo- that my dogs make me slow down and enjoy life----- Normally I run from thing to the other- and having Missy and Sampson with me forces me to stop for pee and water brakes---- forces me to slow down and make time to stop and walk around on long drives- They force me to make time for lunch brakes to come home and let them out- forces me to get out of bed when I am depressed or not wanting to - They force me to get outside and spend time outside- My dogs make my life better - not only with the love they give- but in forcing me to slow down and not run so helter skelter- all over and not take care of me------- THey Force me to say no to things- so I am home to spend time with them- they demand cuddle time- and expect it- and that forces me to sit down and snuggle with them------- All of the things that I never used to do- that made me a work a holic- and got me SO sick at one point in time--------- my dogs fixed -and it didnt cost me one dime of therapy- they even give me permission to stay in bed a little longer when I dont have to get up- and I can be absolutely NOT productive- and enjoy it------ my dogs not only saved my life- they saved my sanity -----------
