I was thinking yesterday ( I do from time to time) has this independence debate energised the Scottish political diaspora?? On of the gratifying things about being part of the online debate for nigh on 2 years. Is the sight of more and more people joining in. Asking questions, putting out ideas and refuting the nonsense that has sadly become part of out normal political discourse in the UK. For many people this has been a reawakening of their political curiosity, for others a introduction to the world of politics and the underhand tactics in trying to control our votes. I truly hope that whether a yes or a no vote, that we remain as a nation politically engaged, in acting as guardians of our democracy, taking our political establishment to task, when as they will, try to flannel the public once more. I think during this debate many have developed a nose for sorting the wheat from the chaff, in the avalanche of information we have been fed, both from Social Media and the Mainstream Media. We have cast away our shackles as sheeple to be lead, and started asking the difficult question of our political affiliations and leaders.. So what do other think, has this been a awakening that will stay with us, and help shape the future of politics in Scotland?? Or will a post Referendum Scotland once again return to apathy and disinterest... I hope for the former, as that can only be a postive for Scotland
