I was trained by the Rear Admiral, Dr. DNetto who would tell me in his study where he met me for eight years, to live, one day at a time. In those days the hymn, One day at a time had been a favourite in the seminary etc. However Dr. DNettos one day was different from the first line of that hymn: Im only human. In those days, life was a war that had to be fought one day at at a time and I was being trained as a soldier... One never knew what would go wrong next, the only thing mattered was that Dr. DNetto would be there. A mental soldier cannot afford self-pity. Self pity is perilous to Soldiers of the Mind.
