I was very disappointed in Jacksons Corner. I hadnt been there in years - why? Because they have few vegan options - but I read a post by someone who said they had good vegan items now so when the new Jacksons Corner came to the eastside I was excited. Its right by where I work, shop and bank so I envisioned slipping over there for a quick lunch, dinner or even food to take home. When we asked about vegan options, they came up short, very short. I asked about the portabello sandwich - which normally comes with a balsamic, brie spread and mozzarella: could i drop the cheese and get it with a different spread ? Nope nothing vegan -what about the olive spread? nope, has anchovies in it; well what about the eggless dressing that comes with the ceasar salad? Nope, that has anchovies too. Feel like fries - you have a choice of potatoes fried in duck fat or potatoes fried in bacon fat. Whaaat??? When other restaurants are serving more and more healthy items, more and more vegan items (as the demand has grown rapidly) why?? Come on Jacksons Corner - its time to update. Am I missing something? Have some of you found other items that can be made vegan (and are worth the price)?
