I was visiting with Mom after her PT session when a woman stopped at the room and asked if Pan was a therapy dog. When I told her he was both a service dog AND a therapy dog, she asked if I would bring him up the hall to visit her daughter, who had just arrived at the rehab. Of course I agreed. It turns out that her daughter, who is in her mid-50s, has the same type of brain tumor that my father had. Glioblastoma is a nasty thing... non-hereditary in origin and (as far as we currently know) not caused by lifestyle or environmental factors, it strikes young and old alike. So glad we could brighten this gals day for a few minutes. (Tears)
