I was waiting until we got confirmation before I posted anything, but since we received the news which was devastating to my son Dion Reed I can now let everyone know. As some if u know Dion injured his right ankle in his game over 3wks ago, he felt a pop and his ankle was swollen and painful. A week later he was cleared to go back on the field and played his next game, he injured the same ankle again, after making a phone call to his college Athletic director and his trainor they finally agreed to do some xrays, those were negative thank god but it was going on 3wks by then and his ankle was still twice the size of his left one and Dion knew in his heart something was wrong. Finally got an MRI done yesterday morning and received the unfortunate news yesterday evening, he has a complete ligament tear and may need surgery. This is heartbreaking to Dion because this is his first year and if this kid could play football 24/7 he would so when he says mom I cant play something is wrong, then ik he hurt bad. His season this year is done. He sees his ortho surgeon who did his last surgery on his left ankle next Friday so either way hes in good hands. Please keep him in ur prayers and pray that if he needs surgery he recovers as well and as quickly as he did his left ankle surgery.
