I was walking around Vacaville early this morning looking for an open coffee shop. What a beautiful time of day to wander - before the traffic really gets started and you can still hear birds and almost taste the fragrance of the many blooms still on the trees, trying desperately to hold onto summer. Quite unexpectedly (in that I was not at the moment specifically chatting with God about anything in particular) something caught the attention of my right eye. So I turned my head and became that the ground (which was a parking lot) was covered with what I can only describe as a mass of white mist, swirling very close to the earth. I shook my head to make sure my eyes were clear, and yes....there it was. After a few minutes I walked on and then suddenly to my left, there was the mass of swirling mist again. I looked further to see if I could see it anywhere else but it was just in my vicinity that I could see. Naturally I stopped dead in my tracks and waited and then just as quickly as it came (both times) it was gone. Vanished. The text came into my mind from the very beginning of Genesis. Chapter 1 and verse 2..... At first the earth lacked shape and was totally empty, and a dark fog draped over the deep while God’s spirit-wind hovered over the surface of the empty waters. Then there was the voice of God. We know what happened after that. God spoke and light came and everything changed. Out of chaos came order and the earth and sea and even mankind were brought into being........God is calling us to be aware of that same spirit-wind present here today.......to be expectant, for so is the Voice of God.....and once again, He is about to speak in the same strength as in the beginning....and we are being called into place and to attention
